With over 24 years of experience in the family court system, and over 17 years as a licensed attorney, Christine Callahan offers parenting consulting services with a focus on the best interests of children, and on the specific court order parents are expected to follow. Christine respects the time and intention attorneys put into drafting orders granting specific authority to parenting consultants. She has a deep respect for the trust parents put in a PC when they agree to give a PC authority.
Even parents with the best intentions can lose sight of what is best for the kids when they are dealing with emotions or a high conflict co-parent. Christine’s focus for the last 17 years has been helping clients navigate high conflict divorce. The gap for clients to get help navigating co-parenting post-divorce is huge. Christine is not a mental health professional. She is an attorney, a mediator, and an educator who has devoted her career to studying the consequences of high conflict relationships on children.
We have a stream-lined system for working with parents who need assistance in settling ongoing parenting issues, expense issues, or issues with communication. We believe our system helps manage the costs of using a parenting consultant which can sometimes feel like a run-away train.
Prior to her career as an attorney, Christine worked as an adult educator. Educating parents how to live in the parameters of their specific court order should mean they don’t need a PC forever. Parents should gain the skills to co-parent without contacting the PC. Some parents take longer than others to achieve successful co-parenting, but that is always our goal.
