Drafting, Consulting, and Representation

Limited Scope Representation

Limited scope representation differs from full representation in that it allows clients to choose specific services to suit their specific needs. Some people choose limited scope representation because they cannot afford full representation or because their need is specific and easily defined.

Below are some examples of limited scope services we offer. If you have a unique specific need not listed below, please email us and we will determine whether we can meet your need with limited scope services or if you would be better served by full representation. We typically do not require a retainer payment for limited scope representation, but we do require a payment prior to completion of services.

Uncontested Flat Fee Divorce

If you and your spouse have an agreement on property, support and custody/parenting time, you may not need full legal representation. For a flat fee, we will review your case, provide a checklist of decisions to make for a dissolution, draft the documents needed to file with the court, and follow up with a review of the documents to ensure you understand the details of the agreement.

Drafting

Christine Callahan offers her services for drafting legal documents including:

  1. Divorce Documents
  2. Custody agreements or motions for establishment or modification of custody and parting time
  3. Motions for establishment or modification of child support and spousal maintenance
  4. Wills/Estate Plan
  5. Appeals

While some paralegals and non-attorneys offer drafting services, you take a risk in having a non-attorney do attorney work.

Consulting/Review

Whether you have an attorney or you are representing yourself in a family law matter, sometimes you need some guidance, a different perspective or legal advice. We offer consulting services as limited scope representation. We can help you prepare for mediation or for a hearing/trial without offering you full representation. With over 12 years of legal experience focused on high-conflict cases, we can offer you the tools and resources to manage a high-conflict divorce or custody matter.

We also offer review services for a limited scope. We can review your documents before you file them with the court.

You don’t have to go it alone. Call us for more information or a free initial consultation to discuss our services.
